FRADOSIAV HUSAK
Sokolnice - Czech Republic
Photographer / Cave Explorer
Biography

Radek was born and still lives in Sokolnice, a small village near Brno in Czech Republic (Central Europe). He got his first camera SMENA when he was 13 and immediately fell for the look through the viewfinder. As he grew up he interchanged different types of cameras, such as Zenit, Yashica 6x6, Pentax ME Super. Although his parents did not like this hobby of his they always supported him.

Because of the communistic government and its restrictions Radek could not travel abroad until late 1989. Since 1990 he managed to go around the whole world, mainly its highest places - mountains. Mountain-climbing or Alpinism, call it as you wish, the highest peaks of the world were and still are his most favourite places. During these expeditions he documented local life, habits and nature with his Nikon F801 and F90. And also within these expeditions he got under the ground - into the caves. Once you are in the cave it is just a matter of time when you strike the water. And then you have to go in. Radek passed his first scuba-diving course in 1997. Just a year later he already had equipment for UW photography and began to bring the underwater beauty above the surface.

Currently his most famous pictures are from Yucatan, Mexico where a group of his friends and himself explore the cenotes and underwater systems. From there he brings us pictures of places where no one else was before. He also dives as a guest photographer for Maritime Office in Gdynia and documents the wrecks in Baltic Sea.
